Veteran Nollywood actress and mother of four, Mercy Johnson-Okojie has reportedly returned to active acting after mourning her mother’s death, Naijadazz can confirm assuredly. Mercy had earlier announced the passing of her beloved mother in a post on the popular photo blogging platform, Instagram, in May.
“It deeply saddens me to say that my beloved mother is gone. This is a trying time for my family and we would appreciate your prayers, even as we plead for our privacy at this time. Thank you,” she wrote.
A few weeks later, her husband confirmed to close media sources that the thespian was still depressed over the sordid news and was taking some time off to grieve in peace.
However, recent reports reaching Naijadazz can confirm that Mercy Johnson Okojie has indeed, returned to the spotlight after photos of her on set were posted to various social media platforms recently.
Mercy is to star in “Take Me Home,” a movie directed by a topnotch movie director. The actress is not alone though as she shares the lens with other notable actors like Daniel K. Daniel and Stephen Anuka.
While we can’t wait for the release date of the movie, we are glad to have one of Nollywood’s finest back at what she does best.
