Buhari backs Oshiomhole as APC governors kicks


President Buhari backed the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Adams Oshiomhole as the APC governors kicked against him.

Most of the States Governors are not happy with the chairman of the APC, especially with the turnout of the recent primaries of the party.

It was learned that the governors are planning to remove Oshiomhole as the chairman of the party. It was gathered that the plot to remove Oshiomhole as the party chairman is being spearheaded by the Zamfara State Governor, Governor Yari with support from Governor El Rufai of Kaduna State and Governor Amosun of Ogun state.

However, sources said the President had thrown his weight behind Adams Oshiomhole as he is believed to be in support of the chairman plans to reform the party. Sources said the President had direct the aggrieved governors to sit down with Oshiomhole and address any issue they may have against the party.

The All Progressive Congress had unresolved issues with the recently concluded primaries’ election all over the country. This has led to some states such as Zamfara states being barred by INEC for fielding any APC candida the in the state in 2019 Elections. River State and Imo State are also in court for the conduct of the party primary election in the states.

The governors are not happy with the conduct of the primaries that had led to wide-spread division among party members in the state. And also most of the governors did not manage to get the anointed candidates the ticket of the All Progressive Congress from different levels of primary elections.

Oshiomhole came out to state that he enjoys the support of 90 percent of the governors despite reports of division. And he stated that he would continue with his reformation of the party, and he is at the best position in his life.
