Belgium top the ranking as the best team in the world after edging out France, as both of them were tied first in the previous FIFA ranking. Both Belgium and France have been spectacular in their Europa Nations league, after their superb performance in the World cup held in Russia. They have practically been the best team in the world with both teams displaying star-studded squad that keeps providing results in the pitch.

The biggest gainer in the recent FIFA ranking is Gibraltar, who moved up eight places to be ranked 190th after their first ever competitive victory against Armenia who moved one place down to 101st and Lichtenstein who also moved down four places to be ranked 182nd place on the log.

The coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Genor Rohr, had continued with his impressive work, as the team has been on the steady rise since he took over. The team performed superbly to qualify for the world cup after being placed in the group of dead and narrowly missed out of qualifying to the knock out stage in the world cup.
