Real Madrid had part ways with its manager, Julen Lopetegui, following a 5-1 El Classico lost to Barcelona at Camp Nou.

Julen Lopetegui, took charge of the European champions after the surprise exit of Zidane. Julen Lopetegui, was unceremoniously sacked as the Spanish coach on announcing that he had accepted to manage Real Madrid just days to the start of the World Cup.

His run at Real Madrid was not impressive as Real Madrid is presently languishing on 9th position. Santiago Solari, ex-Madrid player and coach of the Castila team will be in charge of the team as interim manager.

There are few managers that are believed to be lined up to take charge of Real Madrid. There are indications that the management may be looking at former Juventus and Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte. Conte is available as he had not secured any appointments, despite many interests since he left Chelsea. He will be a perfect fit, as he has the capacity to handle such a big club.

Conte successful spell at Juventus and Chelsea will make him a top favorite to deliver trophies for Real Madrid.

Another possible replacement may be Roberto Mantinez, the present Belgium manager. Although he has not experienced top-flight success in club football, his style of football is much appreciated. He has done extremely well as the manager of Belgium, taking them to the third position beating England in the third-place match.

Roberto Martinez is believed to be the management favorite, as they believe he has what it takes to be a success at Madrid.

Real Madrid will be looking for someone who will help salvage their season as the gap between Real Madrid and its ace rival increases. Real Madrid is already fallen behind in the log and a season ending with qualification to the champion league will be much welcomed.
