How to send call-me-back message on Airtel (USSD Code)

Airtel, one of the fastest-growing telecommunication networks in Nigeria, provides a large number of services to its customers, including free services.

Even though it is not unusual to occasionally run out of call credits, many network providers have devised a means for customers to constantly stay in touch with loved ones and business associates even without sufficient call credit, the Airtel network is one of them. Like Airtel, you can also send a call me back messages on other top mobile providers like Glo, MTN, 9Mobile

One of the quickest transactions that can be performed on the Airtel network is sending a “call me back” message. This message can be sent with a call credit as low as N0.00.

Codes for sending a ‘call me back’ message on Airtel

Airtel provides two ‘call me back’ messages and can only be sent from one Airtel subscriber to another. The under-listed are the ‘call me back’ codes and messages that exist on the Airtel network.

  1. Message:   Please call me back

USSD Code:        *140*recipient number#

  1. Message:   Please credit me

USSD Code:  *141*8*recipient number #

Note that these codes can only work when the recipient is an Airtel user. Also, bear in mind that you cannot use this service more than 5 times in one day.
